La mantis religiosa
¿Y de dónde ha venido la mantis religiosa?
¿Del espacio exterior o la Atlántida acuosa?
Al vislumbrar su morro de metal verde abyecto
tras el que se enmascara el pseudo-santo insecto,
ortóptero y sin duda también depredador,
débilmente susurro: «Ay, líbranos, Señor».

From whence arrived the praying mantis?
From outer space, or lost Atlantis?
Glimpse the grin, green metal mug
At masks the pseudo-saintly bug,
Orthopterous, also carnivorous,
And faintly whisper, Lord deliver us.
